Surprisingly good horror thriller. - Population 436 review by CP Customer

I rented this as I was short of titles on my rental list, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a surprisingly good horror thriller, well acted with a decent cast, (even Fred Durst was pretty good), and clever plotline, not dissimilar to 'The Wicker Man'. If you're a horror fan then this is well worth a rental.

Better than expected - Population 436 review by RL

Spoiler Alert

Certainly a film that gets better as it goes along. It's low budget and aside from Fred Durst I'd never heard of any of the actors in it. But the performances are all strong, the writing is pretty tight and although the stories own internal logic is strained a little at times it's not so bad to put me off. It's broody and creepy without being over the top most of the time, although it sometimes goes off the boil. A pleasant surprise.
