- In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can't possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.

A Bit Tedious - The Sheep Detectives review by KB
A bit like " Midsomer Murders" and with talking sheep. The sort of thing that Emma Thompson would be in and there she is. You would think from the advertising that Hugh Jackman would have the main role throughout but he's hardly in it .I spent the second half of the film wishing that it would hurry up and finish as i just didn't find it engaging enough. It would have benefitted a lot if it had had some humour in it and ,although amiable, i didn't find any of it amusing .When the Whodunnit is revealed the reasoning is lame .
