A vain sports journalist (Leon Niemczyk) and his pretty but frustrated young wife (Jolanta Umeka) almost run over a hitch-hiker (Zygmunt Malanowich) on a deserted road, triggering a battle of wits between the two men. Inviting the young man aboard their boat, the husband attempts to humiliate him and assert his own superiority, and eventually knocks him into the water. Will the young man who claims he cannot swim, drown - or will he exact a chilling revenge?
