Based on true events during the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack. On November 26, 2008, 10 members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, an Islamic terrorist cell based in Pakistan, carried out a rampage of coordinated shooting and bombing across Mumbai, India. Their primary target is the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The harrowing events that follow will come to be known as India's 9/11 and one of the most audacious terrorist attacks in history. With Indian forces unable to regain control, the gunmen roam freely and kill indiscriminately inside the most prestigious hotel in Mumbai. Rubbish - The Mumbai Siege review by JD
I have read an excellent book about this tragedy , and even seen a very good tv reconstruction of the terrorist attack,
But this movie is rubbish.
You get no sense of the scale of the horror, no idea why it is being carried out, and no explanation of why the police and security services do not mount a rescue mission.
All you get is a bunch of mainly unsympathetic characters swearing at each other.
The acting is second rate.
Do not waste your time or money on this very, very, poor movie.

Limited scope - The Mumbai Siege review by KF
Doesn't do a bad job for a low budget movie of creating the fear and tension that must have been present. It's very limited in its scope however, narrowly focused on the desperation and fears a small group of hotel residents to the extent that the scenes became repetitive. Would have been so much better to have given time to the many other aspects of the terrorist action.

Hmmmm - The Mumbai Siege review by CP Customer
I picked this one having recently visited the Taj Palace hotel and seen the memorials. I thought the film started well, lots of nice scene setting etc. It was clear from the start this was a low budget production but it would have been better if it had followed the real events more closely and had fewer Australians. Who knew so many Aussies went to Mumbai on their holidays?
In terms of entertainment and suspense, it was OK.
