- Dr Zhivago is an epic tale of love, betrayal, and loss set against backdrop of Russian Revolution. When Yury Zhivago (Hans Matheson) meets Lara (Keira Knightley) it signals the start of passionate love affair...but an affair that can only end in tragedy.
