Synopsis:
There are many planets throughout the multiverse... worlds where legendary creatures walk the earth and fill the sky. Here be dragons... In some of these worlds, man has learned to shape and focus the natural weave of elemental forces. On these worlds, it is known as magic. It is magic that dominates the Empire of Izmer, and only Mages, those elite few born with the ability to harness its power, have the right to rule. All others are consigned to a life of lower station. In the principle city of Sumdall the Emperor rules from his royal palace, in conjunction with the Council of Mages.
The standing imperial army, the Crimson Guard, and their commander, Damodar, enforce the law of the Mages throughout the empire. But it is by the incredible might of the Royal Sceptre and its ability to command the immensely powerful Gold Dragons, that the Emperor and his ancestors have forged a mighty empire in the aftermath of the great war. They have brought stability and prosperity to Izmer for many centuries...until now.

Puff of smoke.. - Dungeons and Dragons review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
25/01/2007

Didn't expect too much of this film as never heard that it was highly rated and the film delivered on this low expectation.

I am not too sure who this film would appeal to, for the die hard fans of this genre I would have thought they would be disappointed and for the neutrals there is nothing too appealing to make it interesting.

Obviously filmed on a budget the effects were very average, plot was average and there was nothing gripping about the film.

One to avoid unless you are really keen to watch

fantastical rubbish - Dungeons and Dragons review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
09/06/2007

The opening credits set the scene of a typical fantasy movie, "evil sorcerer attempts to undermine the empress by taking away her all powerfull scepter of dragons.

i have a feeling that this story was written by a 12 year old child who was sketching dungeons on scrap pieces of paper in his spare time (yawn).

I am a huge fantasy fan and used to enjoy rolling dice and exchanging blows with orcs and goblins but this is so far from the dungeons and dragons i imagined it would be.

The plot is thin and tends to jump from scene to scene with no real flow, the ham acting does nothing to enhance the experience and the special effects are definetly not special.

Steer well clear or face huge dissappointment.
