Female Agents disc 1 - Female Agents review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
01/04/2009

Excellent WW2 romp through occupied France based according to director on a true story. Cannot refute this just a bit cynnical about 'based on true story' ethic.Disc one deals with the fact and fiction however shall stop at one. If you like WW2 stories, especially Black Book then this is for you.Well acted and realistic. Deserves a five or a four

Sophie saves D-Day!! (Whoops, sorry- spoiler alert!!) - Female Agents review by Kurtz

Spoiler Alert
27/05/2010

Sophie Marceau has been a French national treasure ever since appearing as a gamine 14-year old in “La Boum” and “La Boum 2”. Now in her forties, stylish, sexy and smart, she is the French ideal woman. Who better to play a Resistance heroine, then, in this high-stakes adventure as an ill-matched group of women are dispatched to rescue a stranded Brit from Nazi-occupied France, and then to kill the Gestapo officer who has stumbled on the Allies’ D-Day invasion plans? She doesn’t do a bad job either, but Moritz Bleibtreu is the most eye-catching thing in this breakneck yarn as he gives QT’s Christoph Walz a run for his money as an urbane multi-lingual Nazi officer.

French war heroines, zut alors - Female Agents review by JD

Spoiler Alert
09/11/2010

Quite a lot of concentration is required to keep up with the character build up at the beginning but keep abreast and the reward is the interplay and plot twists in the latter half. I have not seen the French given war-hero status before and this is their moment. Acting clearly runs in the Depardieu genes.
