- Timothy Spall plays Peter, a Bank worker living a mundane, routine life in Manchester. After an unexpected early retirement, he decides to visit his brother in sunny Benidorm, only to discover that he has disappeared. As Peter searches for clues, his encounters with an eclectic cast of characters only lead to further confusion. In looking for his brother, can he ultimately rediscover himself?

One of those films you think will come to a conclusion for all the time you have investined in it and then it just peters out to ... NOTHING! I rather wish I hadn't bothered. On top of all that, there were no extras - one of the main reasons I am sticking with hired discs instead of streaming.

The Fast Life Slows to a Crawl - It Snows in Benidorm review by RW
As with so many films, the director feels he MUST set the scene. But he goes on and on setting the scene.
After a quarter of the film goes by it is hard to stay awake. Eventually the search for his naughty brother falls flat.
What the heroine sees in Tim Spall makes one wonder how desperate she must be. However, she has a novel place to keep her pearls!

I thought it was just a peon to Benidorm for some time into the film,as it is so slow to develop!
Timothy Spall turns in another of his current bemused old man performances,which don't seem to take much effort.
The plot build up is so sluggish,that it play's out like the first episode of a tv series.They just set the predictable scene,and you think it will be interesting to see what happens in future episodes,and then it ends and you remember there are no further episodes.Or are there?
