Pandora's Box, a luxurious S & M parlour in New York, is about to reveal more than mere flesh. Master documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield's wry, enlightening film pulls the curtain back on this palace of eroticism, exploring a multitude of fetishes from rubber to infantilism to asphyxiation and mummification. Clients paying upwards of $10,000 a night submit to mistresses who create highly elaborate role-playing scenarios designed to meet the client's specific fetishistic needs. Doctors and nurses, naked wrestling and bullwhipping are played out in diverse theme rooms like the "Versailles Palace" and the fully equipped medical room, complete with surgical instruments.
