Synopsis:
In 1648 during the height of the English Civil War, the deposed King Charles I has been forced into hiding. When round headed forces led by the fearsome Col Judd (Lionel Jeffries) and Capt. Tom Sylvester (Oliver Reed) capture the King it seems like there is no hope for his loyal supporters. However, so fierce is their belief and servitude that an unlikely group of loyal supporters led by The Scarlet Blade (Jack Hedley) band together to try and rescue their King.
