Double Dodge tastic...!
I get really sucked into this great classic comedy of the underdog vs. anal hardman. Real bunch of characters in this one, love the fact that they haven't simply followed the run of the mill formulae here and tried do something a little different.

Dodge Ball - this is what I call comedy.
I am never impressed with comedy films, in the past films like Me myself Irene etc have some good jokes scattered throughout the 90 mins but ultimately not a great film. This film though is a gem, I was smilling when the credits started and contunued smilling and laughing till the end. The script is superb, some of the comdey genuinely funning especially the old film about teaching dodgeball. The one liners were especially good with Rip Torn having some of the best. Ben Stiller was great as White Goodman - what a Tache! For once a comedy film kept the momentum going untill the end and I thank the director (also writer) for that.

What a hoot
This was really funny from start to finish. Mostly reliant on visual gags, but what gags they were. An anal retentive body-builder/gym owner decides to buy out the 'Average Joe's gym across the road. But the Average Joes won't go down without a fight and enter the Dodgeball championships with a grand prize of $50k to buy back their gym's mortgage. The Anal forms his own team of muscle-bound types to play and you guessed it, they play the Joes in the Final. Don't accuse this of being too formulaic, there are one or two surprises at the end. Just enjoy the underdogs taking on the bad guys.
