An intense drama
Beloved follows the story of a former black slave who is haunted by the spirit of her dead baby daughter. The terrible secrets which lie within the story are slowly revealed as the disturbing past of this former slave and her incredible struggle for her very survival and freedom come to light. Overall 'Beloved' is an powerful film which gives a small taste of the horrors of slavery and the physical and psychological terrors that came with it.
