A quiet night takes a dangerous turn when Julian receives a frantic phone call from his best friend Terry who has learnt that his fiance, June, has checked into a seedy hotel with another man, sending him into a fit of near-homicidal fury. Desperate to hear a friendly voice, he calls his best friend admitting he's now staked out in a hotel room across the hall with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a loaded revolver in the other and he plans to kill her lover. Julian pleads with his friend to stay put as he races to him in an effort to avert a disaster. But is Terry as desperate as he sounds or has Julian been playing into his hands all along?
