Deans (Gregory Peck, To Kill A Mocking Bird, How the West Was Won, Roman Holiday), a Scotsman, and Billy Two Hats (Desi Arnaz Jr, The Mambo Kings, I Love Lucy), a half-breed Indian, team up to commit a robbery. They get away with only $420 and in the process unintentionally murder a man. They eventually escape but Deans is shot in the leg and they are forced to hole-up with an old rancher and his young wife, bought for $100 in St Louis. When the rancher agrees to take Deans to a doctor and departs, Billy is left alone with his wife and the two become lovers. But with the Sheriff on their trail, how long can their freedom last? Directed by Ted Kotcheff (Weekend at Bernie’s, First Blood) and written by Alan Sharp (Dean Spandley).
