Larry (Stanley Tucci) is an American residing on a remote island village in the Mediterranean. The home of one of Europe's most celebrated composers, Larry had moved there seeking inspiration but instead finds that his modest talents have confined him to playing the piano in local bars. Plans to stage a gala tribute concert threaten to unravel when they meet with furious resistance from Larry's neurotic partner (Jessica Stevenson); the composer's beautiful muse (Emmanuelle Seigner); the master's embittered widow (Marisa Paredes); and Larry's own stubborn and streetwise daughter (Jena Malone).
