Pausing to admire a window display of his own books, distinguished horror writer Ronald Chetwynd-Hayes (John Carradine) is attacked by a desperate vampire, Eramus (Vincent Price), faint from lack of sustenance. Don't Ever Go There! - The Monster Club review by PE

Spoiler Alert
12/10/2020

Oh, this is simply shameful. It's a good idea in theory: a vampire invites one of the great ghost story writers R. Chetwynd Hayes to a club run by and for monsters. Could be fun. Except the monsters are pitiful. And the entertainment on offer: like Rocky Horror never happened, like punk never happened!I

The stories on offer are pretty dull, although I enjoyed the first one, which is why I award the three stars rather than none.

But the final shots of poor John Carradine and Vincent Price having a dance with some badly costumed extras to cod-reggae were beyond embarrassing.

....or maybe Vincent enjoyed it, after all "Thriller" wasn't too far off.
