- When his daughter's life is cut brutally short by a stray bullet from a Magnum .357, Martin Tillman (James Coburn) struggles to make sense of the tragedy. He needs answers and is convinced they're hidden somewhere in the weapon's past. Using its serial number, the grieving father unlocks the gun's past on a journey that takes him across America to his final destination - the mean streets of Las Vegas. Piece by piece the story of the Magnum unfolds, each twist and turn taking Tillman ever deeper into a world of loss and fear, passion and betrayal. Until at last he comes face to face with the gun's final owner.

Superb slow paced drama. - American Gun review by CP Customer
This is a superb slow paced drama about a retired man named Martin Tillman and his quest to find the owner of the gun which killed his adult daughter. The cleverly told story follows the journey Martin takes as he both tries to track down his missing granddaughter and trace the owner of the gun, from the factory in which it was made through a series of people which owned the gun. And through flashbacks the story reveals the awkward relationship he had with his daughter and the events leading up to her death. This poignant, gentle and slow paced drama had me hooked from start to end. Highly recommended.
