For Cooper (Matthew Broderick), a Chicago journalist suffering from memory loss, life is anything but normal. After being dumped by his live-in girlfriend, he visits his rural hometown to try and convince his aging uncle (Alan Alda) he must go into a home... this is when things get really interesting. First, Cooper runs into an old flame who is recently divorced (Virginia Madsen), then he learns about a rare and priceless baseball card his uncle still possesses.
