Excellent. - Lancaster review by AW
A superb documentary highlighting the important part played by WW2 RAF bomber and ground crews and their aeroplanes they flew and maintained. It includes interviews with bomber and ground crews and the development of RAF Bomber Command and the aeroplanes they flew, concentrating in particular on the Lancaster bomber. A sequel to the Spitfire documentary, which is also a must to watch, this documentary is a highly recommended watch.

Moving portrayal of genuine heroes - Lancaster review by AB
This moving film is ostensibly about the Lancaster bomber. Yes, we hear about its development and performance in WW11. But the real meat of the film is in the interviews of surviving aircrew, now old men. They flew over Germany when they were young men in their early twenties. With matter-of-fact heroism they described flying mission after mission, knowing that every time they flew they had a high chance of dying a fiery death. A must watch film for everyone interested in WW11.

Interesting WW2 Documentary - Lancaster review by GI
From the same filmmakers that made Spitfire (2018) this is a documentary that looks at the role of the British heavy bomber during the Second World War. It is poignant to watch the surviving crew members , now all in their 90s, recount their experiences on nightmarish raids. If you're interested in military history this is a competent and interesting film that is really a short history of Bomber Command and the various famous raids such as the Dambusters one and the infamous Dresden raid of 1945. Narrated by Charles Dance it is mostly a well balanced story although there is only one account from a German civilian who witnessed the Dresden raid. Overall though this is worthy of watching if you have that interest.
