It's a gamble that could cost him his marriage, as well as the life of his son.
Everything about it is good. The plot is original, not the ransom of a rich man's son but the twists and turns following this. Mel's acting is good, few could transfer the agony so strongly to the viewer. There are several sub-plots each compelling. The bad guy is so well played you cannot stop yourself hating him. Utterly captivating.
Saw this when it first came out thought it was great . Watched it again and it is still a great thriller. Great acting from the main actors in the film, and a good original story of kiddnapping a rich family's son and hold him for ransom. Good twists and turns and great story. Worth watching if you haven't seen it.
