- Bob (Robert Culp) and Carol (Natalie Wood) are a sophisticated California couple who, after attending a free-thinking group retreat, decide to push the boundaries of their marriage by experimenting with outside affairs. Ted (Elliott Gould) and Alice (Dyan Cannon) are a more traditional couple who always enjoy hearing about the provocative adventures of their best friends until they are invited to join them - in bed!

1960s film I THOUGHT I was catching up on... - Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice review by BN
Started watching this film, such a familiar title that I've never in my viewing life seen, so periodically I work through many familiar old 60s and 70s titles as I had no access to TVs or cinemas then.
CP is my way of catching up.
For the first 20 mins Culp and Wood hurtle down one less busy coastal California highway and arrive at a sort of therapy/commune establishment.
From there on, I frankly lost it, after
a)reading the precis and b) seeing the people there being manipulated and brainwashed. Oof.?? Boring !!
Took the disc out and returned it. Oh well.
