Flat, boring comedy - The Nugget review by AER
Sadly, if you are like me and were looking for something as funny as The Castle, The Nugget is something of a huge letdown. Some of the lines may make you laugh but The Nugget trades in over sentimentality for its Aussie ockers who find a giant gold nugget in the bush. The odd line raises a smile but the pace and plotting are leading. The acting is also pretty poor, especially from Eric Bana (who was dead famous by the time this got made). Unforgivingly prosaic. Yawn.
