On an aircraft carrying some of the most notorious criminals of all time, the recently paroled Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) is hitching a ride home to his wife and daughter. But he suddenly finds himself embroiled in a midair skyjacking masterminded by Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom (John Malkovich). While Cameron fights to keep these savage convicts from massacring everyone on board as they career towards the famed Las Vegas Strip, a Government agent on the ground (John Cusack) battles to keep his overzealous superiors from blowing the plane into oblivion!
I rate this as cages second best movie to the rock. Good viewing.

Not sophisticated just good
- Con Air review by JD
The genre is feel-good escapist action. The acting is superb (especially Malkovich), the plot is complex enough to carry you through, though it is a bit super macho at times. There is the odd joke (bosses car tied to a plane), the romantic angle covers all target audiences. Pretty much an all round film (for all except sophisticated).
