- Synopsis:
- John Gustafson (Jack Lemmon) and Max Goldman (Walter Matthau) have been the best of enemies ever since John married Max's childhood sweetheart. Now both single, their feud looks set to escalate when a beautiful middle-aged widow (Ann-Margret) moves into their street. Although she prefers John, Max uses the fact that his rival is under investigation for non-payment of taxes to scare him off.

“Hello, moron.” - Grumpy Old Men review by LJ
The appeal here is obviously once again pairing Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, now late in life. However it is a very nineties fluffy comedy, in which the romance is so undercooked I didn’t particularly care.
