"The Summoning" follows the enigmatic journey of two sisters w ho are believed to possess the supernatural ability lo connect with the dead...In 1930's restless Paris, American sisters and spiritual mediums Laura (Natalie Portman) and Kate Barlow (Lily-Rose Depp) are an authentic psychic double act touring pre-war Europe, where before an astounded audience, sceptical but curious spectators join them onstage for a hypnotic seance with the dead. During a performance, a renowned film producer becomes dazzled by the sisters' genuine psychic ability and hires them for an ambitious project that would contribute to the evolution of the French film industry. Little by little, the war creeps in and Korben's reputation rests entirely on the success of this single effort. Possibly the worst film I've seen in 2018 - The Summoning review by RR
A totally pointless movie with a pointless storyline. Don't be tempted to rent this movie as I'm sure Natalie Portman is regretting starring in this turgid of a film.
