Ten days before his retirement, Dr Jack Mickler (Marlon Brando), the highly respected but burned out psychiatrist, takes on his last and most difficult case.
It is Don Juan (Johnny Depp), the world's greatest lover, masked, cloaked in a flowing cape, the seducer of more than a thousand women. Mickler has ten days to evaluate and treat this delusional patient. But Don Juan's glorious tales of love, passion and romance have Dr Mickler captivated.
He begins to examine his own life which has become stale and to rekindle the spark long since lost with his wife, Marilyn (Faye Dunaway).
Furthermore, Dr Mickler starts to become convinced that this is indeed the real Don Juan he is treating.
