Synopsis:
Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin - the first ladies of laughter - star in this critically acclaimed box office hit about two sets of identical twins who are mismatched at birth. Forty years later, their paths cross amid the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and the result is unrestrained pandemonium. New York's exclusive Plaza Hotel is the setting for a wildly hilarious, classic case of mistaken identities, split personalities and double trouble. With the unparalleled comedic talents of Midler and Tomlin, it's a screen partnership made in heaven and, in 'Big Business', two's company...four's a riot!

Disappointing - Big Business review by Swambi

Spoiler Alert
30/01/2012

I rented this film because the idea for the plot sounded good - and was disappointed. The plot and acting are unconvincing, humour minimal, and filming average at best, so that that it is neither amusing nor believable. Overall it is not a film that I could recommend.

Could have been far better - Big Business review by AB

Spoiler Alert
28/07/2018

The premise is good, the acting should have been easy but the storyline was lacking.

The two leads are good actresses but the whole thing lacked a good storyline and got very confusing to watch, even for the viewers who were "in the know" about what was going on. I lost track of which twin was which in some of the scenes which spoiled things a bit. A bit more zany humour would have helped and extrapolating the dog ownership story and the putting competition story might hve helped a bit but they were left hanging as obvious fillers that would have not been missed if absent. Watch but don't expect to enjoy
