- A brutal dictator comes face to face with the people he has ruled with an iron fist, enjoying lives of luxury at the expense of their population's misery. When a coup overthrows his brutal rule and the rest of his family flees the country by plane, the president is suddenly left to care for his young grandson and forced to escape. Now the country's most wanted fugitive with a bounty on his head, begins a perilous journey with the boy, criss-crossing the country to reach the sea where a ship waits.

A great and authentic, powerful film about the fall of a dictator - The President review by PV
This is the first Georgian film I have ever seen - and I was very much impressed with it.
It basically shows the sudden fall of a dictator, like so many in Eastern Europe (and soon North Korea, I think, and Zimbabwe). The sense of bafflement and bewilderment is stark and accurate.
True, the second half of the film drags a bit and is overlong (longer than the stated time on the disc sleeve too, I believe). But that is a minor quibble.
This is a great movie.

A marvolous movie with excellent cast. - The President review by HS
I like watching all Russian and east Russian movies and I found this movie well directed and acted. A simple story about a dictator's fall from power and how he tried to escape execution. the little boy also played his role of grand son superbly.
A very good movie to watch.
I rate this movie all 4.5 stars out of five.
