Synopsis:
15 years after a global apocalypse, mankind is on the verge of extinction. Civilisation no longer exists, food is scarce and most eke out a living by stealing and killing. One man clings onto life in his bunker, where staying away from others has been key to his survival. But this self-imposed isolation comes to an abrupt end when he crosses paths with another group of survivors and faces an unknown enemy far more brutal and savage than any of them could have imagined.

Amateur hour - overly basic - Edge of Extinction review by AER

Spoiler Alert
06/10/2020

Andrew Gilbert's second feature after The Dead Inside has to be commended for its ambition and scale. The locations are great as well but that's where the good aspects start and end. The acting, script and plot are all thin, basic, surface and reminiscent of 1980/90s British soap operas like Eldorado and Family Affairs. It's a painful 2.5 hour slog that offers little-else but tired tropes, repetitive poorly choreographed action scenes and characters with basic motives. This badly wants to be The Warriors but it's a thin replica without any ideas of its own. This film is a right-wing fantasy and not much else can be said. Avoid.

Overly long - Edge of Extinction review by OL

Spoiler Alert
19/07/2022

Set 15 years after a nuclear war. This is not mad max. But rather a wet day at the seaside with some action sequences. Avoid. I do not see any politics in it but rather a poor attempt at a post apopaclyptic film with minor horror sequences.
