- Rugged, handsome adventurer Allan Quartetmain is hired by the gorgeous Kathleen O' Brien to find her missing father, who has ventured into the African Interior seeking the fabled treasure of King Solomon's Mines. Accompanied by her dauntless, and strangely regal, African guide Umbopa they sally forth across the treacherous desert, surviving it only to be waylaid by the scurrilous native chief Twala and his abominable tribal witch doctor - the cparhsome Gagool. Will Quartermain's stiff upper lip stand him in good stead or will he have resort to fisticuffs and give the savages a damned good thrashing...
