Synopsis:
The Simpsons is a long running adult comedy about the typical American family, the Simpsons: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Set in the fictional town of Springfield, the Simpson’s is one of the most successful TV shows of all time; providing a tongue in cheek and satirical commentary on the working class American family and the morals, values and beliefs that go along with the stereotype. Homer, the bald and bungling father, somehow manages to acquire a job in a Nuclear Power Plant, whilst housewife Marge is distinguished by her tall blue hair, either could be fairly described as pillars of the community when compared to local billionaire Monty Burns or chain-smoking clown Krusty.
The kids, one trouble maker, one school geek and one completely silent baby – all characters in their own right - get into their own share scrapes and scandals, providing another layer to the hilarious social commentary that runs as the shows backbone.
