What Dreams May Come review by Shatner's Bassoon
Stunning to look at but let down by a dull story.

What Dreams May Come is a gorgeous looking film, the images of Heaven and Hell are incredibly detailed, highly imaginative, and beautifully realised. Unfortunately, what lets this film down is a story that's excruciatingly dull, depressing, and shamefully manipulative in trying to create emotion, rather than actually generating any genuine emotion. Despite a poor script Robin Williams and Annabella Sciorra give strong performances, and if you can get past the dull dialogue and saccharine sweet plot then 'What Dreams May Come' is worth renting just for the special effects.
