We watched this out of respect for Robin Williams. But boy, is it dire. An embarrassingly slow movie about a gay 60 year old man. Who in their right mind classified it as a children and family movie? This is a long way removed from Mrs Doubtfire. So sad this diatribe was the swansong of one of the world's finest...
I was not sure what to expect from this movie but always been a Robin Williams fan and this did not dissapoint,
A very different role for him but a great storyline about a man who has reached 60, Married and looking after his father who comes across a young man by accident which awakens his lost life i suppose, A life he had supressed since he was 12, He always knew that he was gay but it was always buried very deep and was not until now he finally wants to face reality and even though he loves his wife it is now time to break free and explore a new relationship possibilty and it was only through several meetings with this young man who he only ever spoke to which made it all possible,
I am not very good at writing or explaining but i hope you find this helpful but if you like Robin Williams then give it a watch as i am sure you will enjoy it.
