- Set against the wildly atmospheric backdrop of the French Riviera Jean (Gad Elmaleh), a shy young bartender is mistaken for a millionaire by beautiful scheming opportunist Irene (Audrey Tautou). Abandoned when she discovers his true identity, a love-struck Jean has no intention of letting someone this gorgeous get away! Jean's comical attempts to gain Irene's affections gradually evolve to his setting himself up as a gigolo at the luxury hotel she is staying at... and then the fun really begins.

Gold-diggers delight - Priceless review by JD
A modern day French farce. A competition develops to be the more manipulative gold-digger. It does feel very amoral and cold hearted. I couldn't feel a great empathy with the characters for this reason, and so the comedy of it was slightly lost on me. The romances are so calculated, even the rather expected one at the end, that I would suggest it wouldn't appeal to the typical rom-com fans.

Sparkling French drama - Priceless review by RD
Beautifully shot in great locations with acting to match. The pace of this film is just right, and the result is a delightful and enjoyable film. Audrey Tatou is as attractive as ever in a range of outrageous expensive clothes.

Romantic French drama of golddigging amongst the Riviera set - Priceless review by Mr Aquarium
A golddigger mistakes a lowly waiter for a rich "mark". In turn, a rich woman mistakes...but I won't say anymore about the plot's twists and turns. This film works wonderfully if you accept it on its own terms - the world of golddiggers versus the rich, who expect to get what they pay for. The glamorous Biarritz and Monaco locations are sumptuously photographed; the two leads are engaging and the ending is warm-hearted. A very French film.
