A decent remake of a 70's classic - Salem's Lot review by CP Customer
Based on Stephen King's classic vampire novel, 'Salems Lot' is an impressive 'TV mini-series' remake of the 1979 Tobe Hooper original. Rob Lowe plays Ben Mears, a successful writer who returns to his childhood home to write a new book, only to find strange happenings. This new incarnation of 'Salems Lot' is a darker more intense version of its 70's predecessor, and is also far more loyal to King's original novel, and the last twenty minutes are as gripping as any good Stephen King adaptation.
