Francesco gives us a fascinating insight into one of the most beautiful cities in the world: the places, events and people that have sculpted Venice through the ages. He explores hidden gardens, ascends secret staircases and, with the aid of expertly executed dramatic reconstructions, travels back in time to see the Doge's Palace, St Mark's Square and the winged lion rise out of the mud.
