- Nothing extraordinary ever happens to Carol Peters (Melissa McCarthy), so when she starts getting snarky backtalk from her TV, phone and microwave, she thinks she's being punked. Or losing her mind. In fact, the world's first superintelligence (voiced by James Corden) has chosen to study and observe Carol's attempt to romantically reconcile with her former boyfriend (Bobby Cannavale) to better understand the human condition. Soon, the all-powerful entity takes over her life...with ominous plans to possibly take over the world. Now, Carol is potentially humanity's last chance before this A.I.-with-an-attitude decides to pull the plug.

Ok - Superintelligence review by TH
This is a fairly decent watch. The idea works for most of the time but I did fine that it felt quite long for a film that was only 1hr40mins.
Acting decent enough and story plods nicely, but think it could of been a bit shorter or added something a bit extra into it.
Overall it's fairly watchable.

Quite clever - Superintelligence review by cr
Wow this got a thumping from the critics yet i can name 10 films that are worse than this that they fawn over (step forward triangle of sadness, ad astra and aftersun to name 3).
I liked this film. Its fun breezy and doesnt take itself too seriously. Bobby and melissa are a good team and i even liked james corden breifly while he voiced the AI character.
Not as bad as reviewed check it out for an undemanding fun romantic comedy.
