Based on William Brinkley's best-selling novel, "The Last Ship" chronicles a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world's population. Series 2 opens with Captain Chandler (Eric Dane), XO Slattery (Adam Baldwin) and the rest of the crew aboard the Navy destroyer USS Nathan James working to disseminate the cure developed by paleomicrobiologist Dr. Rachel Scott (Rhona Mitra). As soon as they arrive back on U.S. soil, however, they face new threats in the form of a new world order under the leadership of Granderson (guest star Alfre Woodward) and a mysterious new enemy, The Immunes, bent on taking over the world.
Loads of Action
- The Last Ship: Series 2 review by CD
Was hugly inpressed with season 1 and was quick to carry on. Only seen the fist disc of season 2 but if that is anything to go by it might be even better than season 1. So much action going on both on land and upon the Nathan James. All charcters from seanson 1 continue though there is a death early on, wont say who as fon't want ti give away spoilers. There are gun battlles, hand-to-hand comabt, missles being launched and even a secret sub. Clever, topical and makes you want to sign up!!!!!!
Can't wait for the rest of this series to arrive. There is 5 sesons in total and nearly £100 on a certain rainforest, so watch it this way and save up the pennies.
