March 12th 1938: As the full might of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich descends on Vienna, two lifelong friends find their worlds torn apart as the brutal Nazi regime tightens its iron grip on the country. Friend becomes enemy as one is indoctrinated into the Nazi SS, while the other is unceremoniously sent to the camps. Years later, destiny forces them together again as the former friends' lives become inextricably entwined in an audacious plot that will determine the fate of the war.
