Synopsis:
What begins as a simple visit to a grave site soon escalates into a night of sheer terror! In this dark, animated retelling of the 1968 cult classic 'Night of the Living Dead', bloodthirsty zombies suddenly begin amassing everywhere. As Barbara (voice of Katharine Isabelle), Ben (voice of Dulé Hill) and an odd group of strangers hide in a remote farmhouse, their struggle to ward off the flesh-eaters outside creates fierce tension inside. Containing terrifying new content not found in the original, 'Night of the Animated Dead' will convince you to lock your doors.

Had a lot of potential - Night of the Animated Dead review by LM

Spoiler Alert
21/07/2022

This was an interesting concept.

Night of the living dead but redone as an animated movie that would have a story budget only limited by the creators imagination.

So what a shame it is almost a shot for shot copy of the original. There was promotion that new scenes were included. What they don't mention is that was really just a more graphic illustration of a couple of characters deaths and an illustration to anothers monologue.

The original is still the best and the 1990s remake a respectable inclusion into the franchise but this just feels like a cash in.

Watching the special features this feels bad to type as the film makers seem like genuine fans and they are proud of what they achieved.

So if you are a fan already and are curious please check it out, just be prepared to be disappointed.
