Synopsis:
In the summer of 1995 Bobby Robson was diagnosed with cancer and given just months to live. Miraculously, less than a year later Robson was managing the legendary FC Barcelona - their motto: 'More Than a Club'. But Bobby Robson was more than a manager. Via the Hand of God, Gazza's tears and England's greatest World Cup abroad, to European glory with Ipswich Town and titles in Europe's top leagues, including a Barcelona treble, Robson overcame the most extreme challenges before a career like no other came full circle when he returned to 'save' his beloved Newcastle.
Starring an A-list cast (Mourinho, Guardiola, Ronaldo, Gascoigne, Shearer, Lineker and Sir Alex Ferguson), never-before-seen archive and emotional testimony from Lady Elsie Robson, this is the definitive portrait of one of sport's most inspirational and influential figures.

Geordie grit - Bobby Robson review by KN

Good bio about a top man if a slightly overrated manager. Let’s get this straight we were pretty ropey in 86 including the hand of god debacle. 1990 we rode our luck. Having said that he seems to have been universally loved and this film proves why. An extremely brave and likeable man. Could have done with a few amusing stories of which there are many ,nonetheless watch it, you won’t regret it.

The man was a class act! - Bobby Robson review by TH

Trying not to be too biased but Bobby Robson was a large part of my life growing up as I'm an Ipswich supporter and what he did for the club in the 70's and early 80's is basically legendary for a leafy out the way club. The film charts his time at Ipswich, Newcastle, abroad briefly at Porto/PSV but centres quite a bit on his time at Barcelona and period with England and the unsavoury and unwarranted treatment from the press. Contributions from Pep Quadiola, Terry Butcher, Gary Lineker, Gazza, Alan Shearer and Jose Mourinho (same snarling facial expressions when he was younger)! A gentleman above all and certainly the type of manager they don't make anymore and sadly missed...a must watch.

How NOT to make a documentary ! - Bobby Robson review by JD

Lovely Man, interesting story.....but some young clever dick thought it would be fun to chop Bobbies football life into little bits and then throw them all in the air, and tell the story in the order you pick them up off the floor.

It may be old fashioned to start at the beginning and progress through his life story, but that way you can show how his life progressed, and it would have shown just how successful he was at several clubs and in several counties .

The way it was shown was a mess and did not do justice to this giant of English football.
