- John Travolta, Morgan Freeman, Famke Janssen and Brendan Fraser lend their talents to this searing detective thriller. Travolta plays Carson Philips, a hard-drinking LA private eye, who takes a case in his old hometown of Galveston, Texas. While searching for a missing woman, Philips must confront a crime boss (Freeman), a shady doctor (Fraser), a sexy club singer (Kat Graham), his former lover (Famke Janssen) - and his own dark, disturbing past.

Trying to think of one redeeming feature? Seeing Brendan Foster as a gross example of mankind is only one can think of. Plot, dialogue, pace, empathy........all missing.

Feels a bit old fashioned - Eye for an Eye review by TH
Despite a decent cast including John Travolta, Morgan Freeman, Peter Stormare, Brendan Fraser and Famke Janssen. This film just feels like a story to a cheap 80s tv movie. The film plots along at a reasonable pace but not one character stands out and the script just does the job. Not a very memorable movie at all.
