Hero - Rex review by JD

Spoiler Alert

A very well made movie, telling the true story of Rex, an army dog trained to sniff out explosives.

Following the troubled teenage years of Kate Mara, she eventually joins the Marines, and then joins the dog handling section.

Both her, and her dog Rex become hero’s, and save many lives in Hostile conditions.

When both are blown up, the tale becomes a fight for adoption.........

Really enjoyable watch - whole family enjoyed it - Rex review by MT

Story, screenplay and actors all very good. Well paced and engaging but...Rex is the star. How Kate's character came to join the Marines and then become a dog handler was really interesting and the way she and Rex became a team was really well played. Not a blockbuster, but a really great portrayal of a true story. One of the best films I've seen in a while. Up there with Only The Brave.
