Synopsis:
Martin (Sebastian Koch) is a talented screenwriter and novelist currently going through a difficult patch in his career. At a party for his daughter he meets a mysterious and alluring French girl (Lotte Verbeek) who disappears and is found drowned. The deceased twin's sister arrives out of the blue. But which twin is which?
Martin's world starts to change and he finds himself torn between the similarities in this mystery to the disappearance of his wife 15 years ago (for which he is still a suspect), his daughter's insecurities around her acting career, and the intrigue surrounding the twins' past.
In this noir thriller nothing is quite what it seems.

Slow starter - Suspension of Disbelief review by CP Customer

I was very tempted to press the fast forward after 15 minutes of this movie as the early scenes indicated it was going to be one of these over indulgent, arty type films that have little substance but although this is not, in my opinion, a particularly gripping story, it did get more interesting from that time onward and did have a decent storyline which was a new one on me so I would say that overall it is worthy of the three stars. There are also excellent performances from all the lead actors, particularly Lotte Verbeek who oozes seduction from every pore.
