Kiberlain at the top of her game
- Elle L'Adore review by NH
An intriguing plot, great acting from Kiberlain, who rarely disappoints and provides an edgy and convincing performance, and a well-paced movie that has plenty of twists and turns

Beautifully plotted witty thriller
- Elle L'Adore review by Alphaville
Aka Number One Fan, this is so good it’s amazing it’s not been remade by Hollywood. Who will come out on top in this battle of wits between the accidental killer, the willing accomplice and the cops who’re closing in on them? The plot keeps blindsiding us and the twists and turns will have you grinning with tension.

Another "bonkers" French police drama
- Elle L'Adore review by JS
Didn't think we would like this film.
A bit predictable and unbelievable at the beginning, but once the plot unfolded it was almost riveting.
Once the police became involved it was reminiscent of the chaotic department portrayed in the Spiral series.
The scene where Muriel meets her lawyer will stay with us for a long time.
Superb acting throughout.
In fact, I'm going to upgrade my 4* to 5.

Psychological thriller - but NOT a comedy!
- Elle L'Adore review by Mr Aquarium
This is billed as "Comedy Drama, Black Or Dark Comedies". The label on the Cinema Paradiso envelope simply says "comedy". This is misleading. There's some light humour in the main female character's fantasies, and possibly some black humour at the end, but this film features a shocking killing - all the more shocking if you're expecting a comedy!
However, having said that, if you approach this as a Hitchcockian film, or as something in the way of a Claude Chabrol thriller, then you won't be disappointed. It plays with us and with the chief culprit in an intriguing way. From that point of view, well worth seeing.
