- Thirty-four years after his death, Airman William H. Pitsenbarger, Jr. ('Pits') is awarded the nation's highest military honour, for his actions on the battlefield. 'The Last Full Measure' is the incredible true story of Vietnam War hero William H. Pitsenbarger (Jeremy Irvine), a U.S. Air Force Pararescuemen medic who personally saved over sixty men. During a rescue mission on April 11, 1966, he was offered the chance to escape on the last helicopter out of a combat zone heavily under fire, but he stayed behind to save and defend the lives of his fellow soldiers of the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division, before making the ultimate sacrifice in the bloodiest battle of the war.

Fighting for the Truth - The Last Full Measure review by CP Customer
Interesting and watchable film about the fight to get Airman William H. Pitsenbarger, Jr. the US nation's highest military honour for his courageous efforts during the Vietnam War and the ongoing effects it still has on the survivors of the war and extended families. Well told and the mix of flash backs and the power play of the Pentagon and Congress made one feel you were part of the moment!

Powerful and emotional film - The Last Full Measure review by AB
I agree very much with AA's review, except I give it 4 stars. The film has some real heavyweight acting talent in it and it shows. The true story has some similarities to Hacksaw Ridge, and it is just as good as that film. The last part is very emotional and my wife and I had tears in our eyes. Highly recommended.
