It's the same dream I've had since I was young, I wanted to be a musician and play with great players, and that's what I've done. Drumming is my madness, music is my passion'. ...and with that Ringo Starr announced his newest All-Starr Band, Comprised of rock heroes Greg Lake (King Crimson, ELP) & Roger Hodgson (Super tramp), the inimitable Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoopie), former Prince percussionist Shiela E, 1980s synth-popstar Howard Jones and multi-instrumentalist and long-time Ringo accomplice Mark Rivera (Billy Joel), the All-Starrs toured America to packed houses throughout the summer. It's been an astonishing road Ringo has travelled since first hooking up with the fabs all those years ago. But lucky for us all, it's a road Ringo continues to build upon with dignity, and inspired by a true love and respect for his fans, something that the performances on this DVD; recorded at Chicago's Rosemont Theater in August 2001, clearly pay testament to.
